Lightroom/Camera Raw: Phase One IQ4 support

Up to now Adobe has included every Phase One digital back in the supported camera list. But it's now more than 8 months that the IQ4 150 MP came out and we still cannot open the files. When is IQ4 supposed to be included for all of us that want the best quality cameras and also the best development software altogether?I hate using Capture One. It breaks my whole workflow. Thank you very much in advance.

I'm interested in this, too, in particular now that Phase One is pushing the IQ4 backs as part of the XT camera system for landscape photographers. I was editing an IQ4 photo yesterday that I moved over from Capture One as a TIFF, though, and Lightroom really struggled to handle it.

Greetings all,

We'd like to source a few sample files from users in the formats they are shooting most. Is anyone on this thread able to contribute a sample file in one of the following formats?

IIQ 16 Extended
IIQ 16 Large
IIQ 14 Large
IIQ 14 Smart
IIQ 14 Sensor+

If you can share a file, drop a link in this thread or you can contact me if you don't want to share publicly. Thanks!

Hi Rikk
Are you still looking for Phase One IQ4 150 files?

Dear Rikk, does this mean that IQ4 raw files will be finally supported? Any idea of how long it will take? Thanks!

There is no ETA but the team is working on the IQ4 files for future support.

Do you still need IQ4 evaluation files? I have a few, though I confess I don't know which flavor of IIQ.

Thanks for the offer Stephen. The team would like to collect files but only if we know which specific mode they were captured with. If you can get that info, I would love to have a few files to attach to the internal request.

OK, I don't have that info but probably will be using the camera again in a bit, so perhaps then.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Phase One IQ4 Camera Raw support (no solution since three months ago).

It's more than one year that Phase One introduced its IQ4 digital back. For the first time Adobe is not giving support to a Phase One camera and digital back. I wrote a post here three months ago and more people also asked for this support. From Adobe someone asked for files , that I sent. But still there is no proper answer. Will it be possible that we Phase One users have to end up using Capture One??

I am the authot of the best selling book on Lightroom in Spanish ("Lightroom Revolution"), and it's so ackward that I have to end up using C1...

Updates to Lightroom Classic, Camera Raw, and the Lightroom Ecosystem were released yesterday and contain a fix for this issue.  Please install the appropriate update and see if it solves this problem. You can read more about the updates here.

Initial file support is in but there is still profile work to be done.

Thank you for your patience.
