Lightroom/Camera Raw & DNG: Resolution Change / Downsampling in internal DNG converter

I see enabling the "lossy" switch exposes downsampling controls in the new standalone DNG converter, but not in LR. The internal DNG convert in LR allows "lossy" but not downsampling.

The ability to do lossy compression + downsample is a fantastic middle-ground for files I feel I should keep, but don't make the cut for delivering to clients. Help me reclaim disk space!

When Lossy compression is selected as one of the DNG format options in the Lightroom export dialog you can choose to change the resolution of the image using the Image Sizing options. Downsampling is not allowed as part of the DNG conversion process within the Library, only on the way out via Export for derivative files.

Precisely, Tom. Please support it within the library.

As a wedding photographer, I edit pretty heavily what gets delivered to clients. I like to keep images that don't make the cut, but they also consume a prohibitive amount of disk space. I'd like to be able to filter for everything less than x-stars, and convert all these files to lossy, 10MP. I feel safer knowing I haven't thrown them out, but I also reclaim quite a bit of drive space and speed up my backups.
