Lightroom/Camera Raw: Canon EOS R white balance problem
EOS R in Camera RAW 11 (Photoshop, Lighroom, etc) does not read white balance correctly. If I set 5600k white balance in camera, Adobe thinks it's 7400k. ADOBE, PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP, AS WHITE BALANCE IS A PRETTY BIG DEAL FOR PHOYOG

In Lightroom 8.1/Camera Raw 11.1 we fixed a known issue introduced in 8.0/11.0 that might be affecting images you had already imported and/or have settings applied. The 8.0/11.0 versions of the Adobe Raw and Camera Matching profiles (which had the bug) may be applied.
With a single image try either resetting/clearing develop settings or applying the "v2" version of Adobe Standard/Camera Standard (Faithful, Vivid, etc.) and see if that clears up the issue. I wouldn't expect the WB values to match your in-camera setting exactly, but they should be reasonably close.
Regards,
- Chris

See the lines of correlated color temp below? ANY color on that perpendicular line can be described as the same kelvin number. So it's far from a useful value in the first place.
This may help:

So no, it's not a big deal.

There doesn't seem to be a solution yet beyond reverting back to 8.0, but I can tell you you're not alone with this problem, I have it as well with 8.1 on EOS R CR3 files, and there's a more in-depth discussion going on about this issue over here, though it seems to be a software and / or profile bug introduced in 8.1 that Adobe needs to fix:

I switch to LR 8.0 to fix the issues 8.1 introduced to White Balance on EOS R CR3 files. A fix is desperately needed ASAP.
