Lightroom/ACR: Indicate the different behaviors of local sharpening.
Since negative local sharpening has distinct behavioral differences in the ranges -1 to -50 and -50 to -100, why not indicate them differently on the slider? Most new-comers and even some old-timers don't even know how it works. Why not give a clue?
If you think this is a good idea, then please remember to click the '+1' button below.
In case you don't know, local sharpening:
+1 to +100 adds to global sharpening effect. (linearly? -dunno).
-1 to -50 removes global sharpening effect by .5% to 100%, respectively.
-50 to -100 overrides global sharpening completely and produces blur instead.
This is really great, but you'd never know about it unless you spend a lot of time in Lr forums, or figure it out for yourself...
@2012-08-13, the help info for negative local sharpening:
"A negative value blurs details."
This should be elaborated.
