Lightroom/ACR: Have negative local clarity work like negative local sharpening
A recent discovery indicates locals are being applied before globals. In the case of negative clarity, a negative local value will *not* be interpreted as an offset to the global clarity, but instead will negatively clarify the region (this is non-reversible by positive clarification). Then that negatively clarified region will be subjected to the full force of the global clarity setting.
I would prefer if local clarity worked the same as local sharpening:
+1 to +100 adds to global clarifying effect. (linearly? -dunno).
-1 to -50 removes global clarifying effect by .5% to 100%, respectively.
-50 to -100 overrides global clarity completely and negatively clarifies instead.
And please make it clear on the local slider and in the documentation, that there are 3 distinct ranges / behaviors - ditto for local sharpening.
Summary: As presently implemented, negative local clarity does *not* reduce global clarity. Insead, it negatively clarifies the region before global clarity is applied, which is different, and in my opinion: not as desirable.
