Lightroom: Image difference between Develop and Library module with noise reduction

In Lightroom theres is a big diffirence between the picture in develop module, when you use noisereduction, and the librarymodule. It is very clear when you take the sliders to the extreeme. The same problem appear in Camera Raw. What you see is not what you get. This problem comes with RAW format files, not with jpeg. I use ORF Olympus format. Same problem with TIFF and DNG. It is very annoying. I have had contact with technical support, but they could not realy help, since the problem is in the programs itself. Thank you.

How exactly is it different? Is the difference in the noise? Where is it noisier: develop or Library?

Or is it the color or tone?

If you zoom in to 1:1 to render full-size reviews, then back to Fit - do you still see the difference?

Can you post screenshots?

Heres the process: i open a underexposed, high ISO (3200) picture in developmodule. Turn up the exposure at +2,02 and the luminance to max and detail to 33. This will give a very beutiful soft effect and eliminate all the colornoise. Then convert to b/w. Now the picture looks ok. Open it in library bring back some of the noise and give it a ugly hard allmost grungelike look. Changing size dont change it.

To be honest, these look heavily overdone in terms of noise reduction. The Library preview looks like and overcompressed jpeg (that's what library previews are - a cached jpeg copy).

What's the quality setting Catalog Settings, File Handling, Preview Quality?

You said you've applied 100 luma NR. What about chrome NR?
