Lightroom CC: Are there limitations to raw file types that can be imported?

Are there limitations to file types for the desktop version of Lightroom CC? I show Canon camera Raw, and to play with the new app I tried to import some .cr2 files. It would not let me.

I am on the old Photography Plan that now includes 20GB of Lightroom CC. I had plenty of space left on my 20GB. Did I do something wrong or is cr2 not compatible with new CC?

If it is not compatible, how do I get canon cr2 files into new Lightroom CC?

Thanks!

Raw files from any camera on this list should work http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

Did it show an error message? Which camera?

Thanks for the quick reply Victoria. I tried it again and it worked this time.

The error was pretty generic the first time, "...unable to import" or something like that. It also didn't show me all the cr2 images on the card.

The other thing I noticed is that I asked it to safe a copy locally. But I don't see the photos I imported in the place I designated as the local storage place. It's still synching, so maybe the last step is putting them in the designated location. In my case this is an attached drive.

Thanks again Victoria!

Hmmmm, perhaps double check preferences to make sure the attached drive is still showing as the location, and depending on your OS, perhaps also check it's got the same drive letter.
