I have installed latest camera raw and ps version. however if i try opening cr2 file the colors on the rigth side is distorted

A screen capture of what you are seeing would help us diagnose what is happening on your system. Could you post an example?

Thank you for your reply. It got resloved by copying the RAW files again to HDD
