The profile for this lens was added in Camera Raw 9.6/Lightroom 6.6 (CC2015.6). Please confirm your software is up to date. Also note that this profile is applicable to raw files only. It will not work with JPEG or other rendered image formats.

Native and some adapted lenses on the Leica SL system have corrections baked in via opcodes that are applied when the images are opened in Camera Raw and/or Lightroom. You can confirm this by leaving "Enable Profile Corrections" unchecked and looking with the info icon on the bottom of the Lens Corrections panel. Clicking on this icon will present a dialog that explains which aberrations are corrected. In some Leica lenses, distortion is very well-controlled and does not require correction in software.
Would it be possible to add lens profile for Nikon E Series 100m f/2.8 in Lightroom and Camera Raw (for info, using Nikon D5300, DX-crop factor sensor)? It is a superb legacy lens.
It looks from other posts and also checking with others that have the Tamron 150-600 lense. I have the newest one (V2) but Lightroom CC shows only the Tamron Di 28-75mm. How can I get it to work in CC?

Hi. I will add these to our profile backlog. There is no guarantee we will be able to source copies of these lenses to facilitate profiling, so we cannot commit to it either way.
We shipped several Zeiss ZM profiles in ACR 9.2/LR 6.2, so if there are specific ZM lenses you are interested in having profiled, please list those and I will add them to the backlog as well.
I have Canon M5 with 18-150 lens, which is properly recognized automatically for RAW files. For jpg's, I went into the LR package contents and found relevant lens profile which I copied and followed the editing recommendation you have made:
stCamera:CameraRawProfile="True"
TO
stCamera:CameraRawProfile="False"
Then copy the modified profile to the following location.
There was numerous instances in the profile that I had to change. After saving the file to the indicated location and restarting LR, nothing is happening, it still cannot find the profile. I just subscribed to LR CC and I am using Mac. In spite of everything being said, I would prefer to keep shooting jpg's.
It sounds to me like there might be a syntax error in the copied profile. In cases like that it will fail silently vs. showing an error. Try copying the profile again and (if you haven't already) use an automated search/replace on that tag to avoid missing one or making a typo mistake.
Hi, The Canon EF 28-80mm USM f3.5-5.6 II predated the lens corrections feature was since discontinued by the manufacturer. You many be able to find a user-generated profile using the free Adobe Lens Profile Downloader (link below).
As for removing Lateral Chromatic Aberration (LCA), current versions of Camera Raw and Lightroom no longer use LCA correction data from lens profiles. Instead, LCA corrections are computed from image data when checking Remove Chromatic Aberration on the Lens Corrections panel. Lens profiles are used to correct distortion and vignetting.
If you are referring to the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f3.5-5.6 ED VR, this lens has been supported since Camera Raw 6.3/Lightroom 3.3. The profile is designed to work with raw files only, so please confirm you are using it for NEF and not JPEG files.

Please rename Zeiss Batis 1.8/85 lens from "E 85mm F1.8" to correct name, like other Batis lenses "ZEISS Batis 1.8/85". It looks like a Sony lens for APSC sensor, or new Sony 85/1.8 lens.
ACR and Lightroom do not override EXIF lens names on the Sony E mount platform. We rely on the EXIF written by the camera/lens combination.
For the Zeiss Batis 85mm, I do have an early sample file that uses the generic (and admittedly incorrect) "E 85mm F1.8" name, and a current sample from a later production run that uses the correct "ZEISS Batis 1.8/85" name. While I am not 100% sure, this discrepancy could be a issue with lens or camera firmware. In any case, the lens profile for either EXIF name will match for the Zeiss lens.
The new Sony 85mm f/1.8 uses the name "FE 85mm F1.8" so there should be no conflict between the Zeiss and Sony 85mm f/1.8 lenses.
