I would love to see a lens profile built for the Sigma 85mm 1.4 DG DN Art lens for the Sony E-Mount.  Specifically a7Rii.

This lens seems to be flying off the shelves because it, in most opinions online, is a better lens than the Sony 85mm GM.  I will have to second those opinions, but include that the lens has tremendous pin cushing distortion.  Thanks!

I would like to add a lens profile to Photoshop & Lightroom.  It's a Nikon 16-35mm F/4.0.

Thanks, I had previously had it, but when I updated to the latest version of Lightroom Classic, it’s no longer there.  Can you please tell me how to upload it back to Lightroom Classic?  Thanks, Cheryl

Firstly, there is no Nikon 16-35mm F/4.0 lens profile for JPG, only for NEF (raw).

If you are using Windows, it is easy to check. The lens profiles for Nikon are located here:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\Nikon

and the file is:

NIKON D3X (Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f4G ED VR) - RAW.lcp

Not sure about MAC.

If you are really missing the profile for raw, then I suggest uninstalling LrC (keep your preferences) and then reinstalling.

Thanks again Anthony.  I am using a MAC and I do shoot in RAW. I have all of the Nikon lens profiles in Adobe Photoshop, including  Nikon 16-35 F/4.0, but just no longer in Lightroom.

Triple-check that you are editing a raw and not a JPEG by typing "i" in Develop to show the Loupe Info overlay. It's not uncommon to accidentally reset the camera settings back to JPEG format (lots of reports of that in the forums over the years).

John,

Thanks for the response.  The images are in RAW.  I reset Lightroom Classic and all of my lens profiles are back in Lightroom, including Nikon 16-35mm F/4.0.

Have a good Sunday.

I would like to enquire about support in lightroom cc and classic for (automatic) lens profiles for Minolta AF/A-mount lenses. These are increasingly popular with Sony A7/A9 full frame and aps-c a6xxx users as Sony has just released a new (5th!) adapter for these Minolta autofocus lenses. Here is a list of these lenses: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Minolta_A-mount_lenses

None of these are currently supported, only some of the older SR-mount Minolta lenses are in Lightroom and Lightroom classic. There are some similar Sony alternatives (as Minolta was bought by Sony in the mid 2000s) but there is quite some variation on the models and also no auto-selection for these lenses either.

Another option would be to be able for users to create lens profiles but I see no support for that anymore in the latest lightroom versions.

Please create a profile for the Venus Optics Laowa 9mm f5.6 FF-RL for Sony Alpha A9.

Also, remove the endless erroneous links and 'help' entries explaining that anyone can make their own, given that the facility has not been available for 2 years!!! When looking for a profile, you can go round and round forever because Adobe are too lazy to correct their information.

Is the current link for the Lens Profile Creator.  It is available for download and use.  This is the same link as in the Official Answer on this post and has not changed.

The Lens Profile Downloader for sharing profiles with other users is no longer supported not the Creator as Rikk mentions.

As of 1/1/2018, the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader is no longer developed and is unavailable for download. Adobe's development team adds new lens profiles every release. You can also request for specific lenses here.

Though that web page seems clear enough to me, many people in the Community forum and perhaps here have gotten confused about this, thinking the note about the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader applies to the Lens Profile Creator.

Better wording of that note:

"As of 1/1/2018, the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader is no longer developed and is unavailable for download. Adobe's development team adds new lens profiles every release. You can also request for specific lenses here. And you can create your own profiles using the Adobe Lens Profile Creator."

Can we please get a lens profile for the Mavic Mini?  With each update to Lightroom I'm surprised that one hasn't already been added, given how popular that drone is.

Thank you.

Tamron 70-180 lens profile works with RAW files but is not recognized with JPEG files.

Such profiles can only be used on raw data.

Thanks. That's what I assumed but wanted to verify. What I find confusing is why, unlike other lenses where (JPEG) distortion is corrected in-camera, the distortion for this lens isn't corrected (it looks like an uncorrected RAW file).

Nice Signature!

Lens profiles are Built In for 99% of all Mirrorless cameras.

Everyone knows this. But what matters: most of those profiles are low quality and therefore, Adobe has offered in-house profiles for some but not for instance, Nikon Z lenses (even though the built-in profiles are a disaster)

The best profiles for both lenses and sensors are arguably those from DxO. Though those I've used from Adobe are now so close that I no longer bother with the plug-in but if they have these for your camera and lens, then consider the plug-in. However, if you are one of these folks buying the very latest body and/or lens, you will have to be patient. They are good, not fast.

Hello!

I noticed that there are available lens profiles for Lomography Art Lenses. However, there are a few missing. We were wondering if it's possible to add profiles for the following lenses in the future?

Neptune variable Art Lens System (Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K)

- 35mm f/3.5

- 50mm f/2.8

- 80mm f/4

- 15mm f/3.5 (fisheye)

Petzval 55mm Mk II Bokeh Control (for Canon R, Nikon Z, Sony E)

Petzval 80.5mm MkII (for Canon EF, Nikon F)

Lomogon 32mm f/2.5 (for Canon EF, Nikon F)

Sorry for the long list! I'll be happy to help out any way I can.

Many thanks!
R

Just wondering if Adobe was going to continue making profiles for Samyang lenses on Sony E-mount, and eventually Canon RF and Nikon Z.  They seemed to have stopped making them around the Samyang/Rokinon 18mm F/2.8 in 2019.  The 75mm F/1.8 launched 6 months ago, and there still isn't a profile available to correct it.  Now they've also launched a 35mm F/1.8, which will also need a profile...

I see there still no lens profile correction for the Sigma 85mm dg dn lens for Sony e-mount cameras. I see a profile for 35mm dg dn but not the 85mm. Been waiting some time now for the 85 profile. Really looking forward to getting this. Can someone please put this on the list of lens profiles to create. It is such a great lens - a shame it is getting ignored. Thank you.

Is there a possibility that the lens profile for Venus Lens Laowa 9mm f2.8 Zero-D Fuji X/Nikon/Canon will be added to Lightroom?

When will you be updating the lens profiles for Google Pixel to include the Pixel 5. Right now the list stops with the Google Pixel 3. ☹️
