Camera Raw/Lightroom: Can't use the new Adobe Color Profile as base for new custom camera profile (in DNG profile editor)
I'd like to create a custom camera profile using the new Adobe Color Profile as a base profile in DNG profile editor, however that option isn't available. I can use Adobe standard, or other camera specific profiles as a base, but it appears that the Adobe Color Profile is an .xmp file and not a .dcp file.
It's a bummer because I am liking the color for the 5d Mark iv (a feat in itself!!), and would just like to add a different tone curve to it without using the tone curve inside lightroom.
Anyone know if there's a .dcp file I can download anywhere? Any reason why this one is different than past profiles?

1. Does anyone know if there a LUT (or Look table, or .cube file) for the adobe color profile so that I can use it with other a different profile I've created? I can't find it in finder (again) and it only shows up if I select the Adobe Color profile as a base.
2. I'm not seeing any results with the tone map settings (low, medium, high). Am I missing something? I was under the impression that setting it to high would increase the tone map when it was at 100. But comparing different settings has not led me to see any difference at all. Figuring this out may help with my trying to build upon created profiles and getting the color I like to match where I think the sweet spot in the tone curve is. I am using Adobe Color initially and then the Look Table of any following profiles). When creating a new profile, I can set the minimum and maximum parameters for the Look Table, but those only affect the color; the tone map or tone curve adjustments go from 0% to 200% regardless. I think this can be useful for some things, but I'd also like to control the tone curve a bit more along with or independently of the color in the profile. I don't necessarily want the tone curve to double or zero out if/when I want more/less adobe color in the images. Basically, I wish I could set minimum and maximum parameters separately for the tone curve (and all develop settings for that matter) when I create a profile so I can control what I'm going to get. I know I'm getting greedy with the slider instead of just being thankful, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Until then, maybe there's something to the tone map settings...???

Question:
Are the BW Mix sliders supposed to only be used once-either in a profile and grayed out for develop settings, or available for develop settings IF not used in profile? It seems to be this way for any Legacy profile, Adobe Monochrome profile and my newly created BW profiles. Is this as-designed or is this a bug?
Longer Story:
Legacy profiles and adobe monochrome profiles retain the ability to use the BW Mix sliders. My newly created profiles could not be turned to black and white like they used to be: retaining their tone AND the use of the BW Mix sliders (desaturating retains tone, but doesn't give access to the BW Mix sliders). So I used the Legacy Adobe BW, tone mapped it to my desaturated profiles and got a good result that retained BW mixers. I was excited, only to find out that the BW Mix sliders are only available ONCE, for any BW profile. If you use them in a profile, they are grayed out for development settings.
I thought one of the benefits of a profile was to be able to obtain a base edit WITHOUT affecting (setting or disabling) the development sliders. I'd love to get a certain look with my BW profile, but be able to adjust the BW Mix for different colors in different images.
Temporary Workaround:
I realize I can choose not to include the BW mix settings into my BW profile and just create a preset that will allow for BW Mix adjustments in the develop module. I just really wanted a cleaner profile, with everything tucked nicely inside.
