Camera Raw: Interface overhaul

I shoot football from pitch side and often in less than ideal conditions. No editing program I’ve found is made to help togs in the field. I’ve been thinking about ACR as it’s by far the fastest editing option but far from perfect. Does anyone else feel the ACR interface needs an overhaul? I would like to see all the tools on the top left should be moved to the right? I would also like the slider pins to be larger and an option to make the crop grid lines, a different colour. Any other thought?

I agree. At least the last two points are important to me too.

I don't use it myself but did you take a look at Photo Mechanic? Many sport photographers are using it because they have to deliver fast.

Hi Roelof. I do indeed use Photo Mechanic for ingesting images, adding IPTC metadata and captioning my images but it doesn’t edit images (yet). After importing, sorting and captioning I edit the images in ACR then Photoshop before applying an action to save the images.

The most obvious solution for this would be to integrate the LR UI into ACR. I've never understood why we have two completely different interfaces for the same engine.

I find Lr great overall but ACR is much faster but it’s seems it’s been left in the dark ages. I don’t think shortcuts work in ACR but it shire would be helpful if the could be implemented.

The crop tool is awful. Trying to crop a player in a daylight match is so difficult. The boundary box and grid is often near impossible to see.

Come on Adobe, please improve this brilliant editor!!
