Pete, does this mean Adobe is dropping support for LR Classic and PS on Windows 7 SP1? The description if taken literally as written at the below link would indicate Windows 7 will remain supported.

Digital Imaging OS support

To take advantage of the latest operating system features and technologies, the next major releases of Photoshop and Lightroom Classic CC will not support Windows 8.1, Windows 10 v1511 and v1607, and macOS 10.11 (El Capitan).

Notice there is no mention that Windows 7 SP1 "will not" be supported. Please clarify. Thank you!

Hi Todd,

With the exception of Lightroom CC (Windows 7 isn't currently supported for Lightroom CC) .. Win7 64-bit will continue to be supported for PS/LR/Br/ACR. 32-bit is not however.

Thanks for asking for clarification!

Regards,
Pete

Pete, thanks for the quick clarification! To alleviate any uncertainty it might be a good idea to add one more sentence at that blog link and future postings. Something like this:

To take advantage of the latest operating system features and technologies, the next major releases of Photoshop and Lightroom Classic CC will not support Windows 8.1, Windows 10 v1511 and v1607, and macOS 10.11 (El Capitan). Windows 7 SP1 64-bit will continue to be supported.

Better yet rewrite it using the required version number or later as below. Just a suggestion to eliminate any confusion.

Does this apply to future DNG Converter releases as well?

And the next photoshop elements release?

Yes, it will also apply to future DNG Converter releases. Unfortunately I'm not sure about Photoshop Elements.
