PS, Bridge and LR processes no longer terminating

Hi,

All of a sudden, the bridge.exe, photoshop.exe and lightroom.exe processes are no longer terminating when I quit any of these programs. This problem has started just after the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app updated itself to version 4.9 (another failure, by the way - see https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/cc-desktop-app-stuck-in-an-endless-loop ).

I already had a similar problem sporadically one year ago but this was generally fixed by rebooting the system. Now, I can only terminate these apps by killing the process. Suddenly having the same behavior for all 3 apps is very strange. They all seem to wait on the same thing. But on what ?

Any idea ?

Thanks in advance.

More info about this issue...

Actually, the 3 processes eventually terminate but after a very long time : 3-5 minutes. When monitoring them (PS and LR) with Process Monitor, I can see that they are trying to do things with the Amazon servers although I have disabled synchronization in LR.

Hello, I just tested on macOS 10.14.5 The latest versions of Photoshop and Lightroom, the process ends when the display of the software window disappears for Photoshop and Lightroom about 2 seconds after the disappearance of the main window. So on macOS this problem does not occur.

Hi,

Problem fixed (at least, I found a workaround). The root of the problem is the latest version of AdobeIPCBroker (5.5.1.11) which is also causing issues with Creative Cloud Desktop. See https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/cc-desktop-app-stuck-in-an-endless-loop .

Each time Adobe CC Desktop is updated, I have to rename C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\IPCBox\AdobeIPCBroker.exe. Otherwise, PS and LR will only terminate after a very long time. See thread mentioned above.
