Photoshop/Lightroom: Easily to find and easy to search user manual
I have a really novel idea for Adobe and their products - INCLUDE A MANUAL!!! Yes, I know, you have a "Help" menu in each program. I needed to do a keyword search of my database using Boolean algebra, using a combination of keywords. It had been a while since I had to use "AND" and "OR" statements in LR so I went to the "Help" menu in Lightroom CC Classic and typed in the search field, "Search Keywords in Lightroom". Seems like a reasonable request, as keywords are searchable (and presumably is the main reason why keywords are available in any database). The result I got back? "We're sorry, the query you entered has no results. Please try a different search." Say again?? This has happened on more than one occasion. Folks at Adobe, you'd save people a lot of time if you'd only include manuals on something other than how to access the Help forums and how to buy or install a product. A manual is a basic feature of any program, and I'm sorry, but the included Help menu seems to have little use for anything more than learning that you need to go buy one of Adobe's books to really get assistance for what should be a simple task. A product-specific, up to date manual that isn't simply a search one can do on Bing or Google, in my mind, shouldn't even be something we need to ask for. I've searched for things in LR's and PS' online help menu that have returned results from 8 years ago, not exactly relevant today! I know there are videos available, but sitting through several 10's of minutes of videos to find something like, "...use a "!" in front of a keyword to prevent results coming back that have that keyword in them..." simply isn't effective when on a tight deadline. Thank you.
