Cannot Load MTS Video Files into Photoshop 2018 CC

I can't open MTS AVCHD video files using the latest version of Photoshop 2018 CC. I simply get an error message saying the file cannot be opened. I was able to open the same files in earlier Photoshop versions. I can open quite a few other file video formats. MTS files open and play using the Windows wmplayer. Is anyone else seeing this problem? This is on a Win 7 64 bit OS system.
