Bridge: Window goes white and application locks up

When I have Bridge open with other applications, on a Mac, sometimes I will go back to it and the screen is all white, and nothing works. If I quit and start again, Bridge starts up but is frozen. The only way to get it back is to restart the entire computer. I cannot connect this occurrence with any specific action I take. But it happens about once a week. There is no error message.
