Bridge: Restore Export Panel In Bridge

Why was the Export Panel dropped from Bridge CC? The Export to Disk is an incredible time saving routine, especially for those of us who find the Light Room catalog structure underwhelming, and instead use Photoshop and Bridge.

The Bridge CC Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor is a work around, but is now where near as clean, flexible, and fast.

Why was it dropped from Bridge CC?

Here is a screen shot from Bridge CS6:

I agree 2,000%! The Save to drive feature is an important element in my workflow. It's insane that they removed it!

As a professional sporting events photographer I find Lightroom quite frustrating to use. There are as different types of photographers as there are people. For some, Lightroom is the Bees Knees, for others Photoshop/CameraRAW and Bridge is the right tool, for both processing and archiving. I am in the latter group.

It would make my life much easier if I didn't have to go back to Br CS5 to use the Save to Drive feature.

Adobe, please can you re-instate this feature in Bridge CC!

For creating jpgs of 1024px or less it was lightning fast!
That is why I wrote a script to do some of the functionally. "Bridge Processor"
This is for Windows ONLY, it can be downloaded from..http://www.ps-bridge-scripts.talktalk...

You can install the Output Module in Bridge CC. Instructions here:

Like others commented, we are not talking about the OUTPUT module. We are talking about the EXPORT module!!!

+1. Need EXPORT module. To easily extract jpeg's out of RAW-files. How simple is that?

C'mon Jeffrey, as a Chief Customer Advocate, won't you please do some advocating on our behalf! The EXPORT module (not OUTPUT) was essential to my workflow and served its simple purpose perfectly (specifically the Save to Hard Drive options). The current workarounds are cumbersome and tie up programs wasting valuable time. Yes, Lightroom does a good job, maybe better in some respects, but that doesn't help if you are not working on photography. What about for web designers, who need to quickly save JPEGs at various sizes? You simply can't beat the drag & drop functionality which was apparently stripped without explanation. Please revisit this issue and help bring back this critical functionality we have paid for and expect from Bridge. See further discussion of Output vs. Export module complaints here...

That is the wrong module Jeffrey! It is the EXPORT module not the Output. See Dan's picture above.

Jeffrey: Any chance of including the Export module? I am on a whale shark photo shoot, and it is taking me about 40% longer to process images. Lightroom does not work terribly well for me, so this is a great Photoshop/Bridge tool.

I would say it's unlikely - it was cut due to low customer use and costs to maintain - but the team does weigh feedback. Just to clarify, it's 40% slower using Image Processor?

Jeffrey: It is slower and not comfortable, and with the old Bridge you needed only one side heigth or width to make jpg with the Image Processor you need both! So You must sort the pics before... by aspect ratio

Image Process or supports running actions, so you could use the Fit Image command (or conditional actions) to handle portrait or landscape aspect ratios.

PLEASE bring back the export panel. This has nothing to do with the output module!
I have to go back to Bridge CS6 for that reason!

Jeffrey Tranberry,

Thank you for your module.
But Output Workspace doesn't appear in my environment.
I installed your file on
/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Bridge\ CC\ Extensions
.
And I permitted to write on this folder.

Also, I reseted the Workplace and I tried to deleted the
!!-$$$AdobeOutputModule.workspace file. But it didn't exist.

I am astonished how often Adobe answers with the Output module to the Export panel question (not just here). It seems they did not even know they put it into Bridge in the first place.
Please Adobe, if your developers accidentally created the Export Panel, tell them it was a great little feature, cherished and now missed by many.
Plus people actually spent time creating presets, which you rendered useless.

They know. Clearly they don't want to do it. When you can influence a purchasing decision at your company, keep that in mind. I do.

Hello, one more vote for restoring the Export panel. I was shocked to see it and the Output module gone in Bridge CC. As a full-time commercial photographer I need to output the files I edit in bridge to my clients. So I am back to CS6 and considering canceling my CC subscription, why pay more for less, this is unbelievable.
