Bridge: Restore Export Panel In Bridge

Why was the Export Panel dropped from Bridge CC? The Export to Disk is an incredible time saving routine, especially for those of us who find the Light Room catalog structure underwhelming, and instead use Photoshop and Bridge.

The Bridge CC Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor is a work around, but is now where near as clean, flexible, and fast.

Why was it dropped from Bridge CC?

Here is a screen shot from Bridge CS6:

BTW there are still Bridge bugs causing problems. For example, images from a search won't work and some special folders (including the Desktop) fail. Until Adobe fixes the underlying bug (which is not being able to generate a Thumbnail for the Desktop), I'm stuck.

After 6 years of frustration, but they finally did it.  Adobe rebuilt the Export Panel and it is available in Version 10 of Bridge.  It looks very much like the version in CS6 and works well in the tests I did.   What a relief.
Thank you David Converse for all the work you did.

I have an open bug with the Export panel, it changes image resolution to 72ppi regardless of the original resolution.

Having said that, yes its a huge feature. I'm likely going to end further development on JPEG MultiExport and concentrate on other scripts.

Well colour me surprised!! They actually put it back! Haven't updated yet, always cautious when it comes to big Adobe upgrades. But looking forward to be trying out the Export panel again! It's interesting to see that Adobe actually has started to care a tiny bit more about Bridge... interesting!

It's really curious to see this happening after, well, 6 years

Never thought I would see this happen. I guess submitting all those comments really did work!

Thank you everyone for your feedback. Yes, we brought back Export panel in the latest Bridge release. This is only the beginning for the Export panel and we hope to add more features to it in the future. Keep your feedback coming. If you have a feature or bug request, you may also log it here (or upvote an existing feature request): https://adobebridge.uservoice.com/

Teja V.   I have already used the bridge export multiple times and am very glad that it is again available.    I think the community was very upset that it was taken away without any communication about why or that it would be updated in a new Bridge version.   And we still don't know why.
