Bridge: Please add the ability to Map/Geotag a photo in Bridge
In LR 4.2, I have used the "Map" utility to add the GPS coordinates to an imported photo, by navigating to the place of shooting, using the map at user disposal, and selecting the spot on this map for the selected photo. Beautiful feature, and also very easy to work with. The longitude and latitude values are readable in the metadata.
Not only, if I click the "map" icon of the photo in LR4.2, I will be directed to the map's location (that I had previously added) .
Could you add this LR4.2 wonderful feature to Bridge CS6 ?

Bridge: Add ability to view photo location on map if geo-tagged.
Bridge being the "bridge" in adobe should be able to pull up a selected photo on a map if it has geo-tagged info.

I have created a Multi file version that can be downloaded from the same page.
The new version will display the Title of the selected files if any, if no Title the Filename is displayed.
Also the new version is accessed from the Tools menu.
All the best Paul.

https://github.com/Paul-Riggott/PS-Scripts
Click the Clone or download, select Download Zip
This will download all the scripts. Open the zip file and move/copy the wanted script/s to the correct folder.
Bridge, goto preferences-Startup Scripts, click the "Reveal My Startup Scripts" button.
This will open the folder where the Bridge scripts should be placed.
Photoshop, scripts go into...
PC:- C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS#/Presets/Scripts/
Mac:- [hard drive]/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS#/Presets/Scripts/
The zip file can then be deleted.
Hope this helps.

I'm trying to search my photos in a split image of a map on one side and the files/directory on the other. Lightroom doesn't work for 6TB of images (any type of extension from gif to raw) one, because it can not manage that amount of data, and two, because is already terrible slow building up the data base for just a few thousand images. Bridge has the capability to search fast directories and images but there is no way you can search by metadata and use that metadata to visually search with a map by location.

The github download zip contains 2 Map scripts: 1)Map from Geotag.jsx; 2)Map From GPS Data.jsx. In one of your posts above you mention a new multi-file version. With both loaded into the "Startup Scripts" folder, and enabled, only "Map form GPS" shows in the Tools menu. Is this correct, and the newest version? I'm asking since with several files selected it shows the the geo-location for only one file and no Title or Filename appear to be displayed (other than in the Content pane or bottom info bar of Bridge itself.
Also, on selecting a file, I then have to click on the "Tools/Map from GPS" menu line to display the location in Google Maps (and repeat every time a photo is selected). The "Photo Location" tab does not display a location automatically upon clicking on a file. Is this how it is suppose to work? Thanks.
Regards, Alan

I have created an issue on it in the Github repro:
https://github.com/Paul-Riggott/PS-Scripts/issues/6
But I'm not sure anyone maintains the script anymore?

This is why I no longer support this and other scripts.

I used the workaround suggested by SuperMerlin here to spawn Firefox and open the map.
It may be less elegant but is essentially the same functionality (and you can make the map as large as the screen by changing slightly the HTTP code created in Paul's script).
