Bridge: New keyword dropdown messes up keyword management

In the new Adobe Bridge v9, when I want to change the sort order of keywords within the IPTC metadata, I get a strange dropdown for keyword selection (see screenshot) which totally messes up the ability to cut & paste from one place to another.

This is VERY relevant for Adobe Stock since keyword order is essential there, so please fix this somehow or explain how to use this dropdown properly.

Keywords are physically within the file in the order they are added. The only way to change the order is to delete and reassign them. Even if you have some software that reads keywords alphabetically, another program may not do so.

Hallo David,

sorry, maybe there is a misunderstanding.

Until the latest update of Adobe Bridge, I was able to copy/cut/paste keywords to my liking in the white keywords field (as seen above). I was able to jump around it with the cursor, to the front, end or to each new semicolon (with STRG+arrow-right).

This has somehow been changed and is a nightmare to work with.

I heard only once about strng key and found hardly on google the equivalent for this. Now I tried again as I forgot that was Ctrl, but failed, so asked instead ;)

And why to use 2 different names on 'Windows' keyboards for the same key?

STRG is on German keyboards and stands for "Steuerung" (means "control"), as does CTRL on US-keyboards stand for "control". On German keyboards it also says "Druck" instead of "Print" and other translations.

Isn't it better speak in 'international' language. If I had polish names of keys they are in the same place as in english keyboard I would still use 'original' names or I risked somone won't understand me and this way can't help :)

You are totally right, I just forgot that fact that other languages have other shortcuts on the keyboard.
