Bridge: list folder content right away
Would it be possible to show a list of ALL items in the current folder immediately? Without any thumbnails or any other processing. That other processing stuff could start once the list of items is complete.
The problem right now is that it can take ages for Bridge to list all items in a folder. So for example I want to batch rename or batch process all files in a folder. I open Bridge, select "all" items and start processing. But at some point I realize that Bridge just hadn't listed all images yet... very annoying.
This problem is of course worse the more images with the folder and the bigger they are. But this should not be the case. Why not just look at the file names first, show em to the user and start processing thumbsnails and that unnecessary stuff once the listing is complete?
Hope that makes sense.
Cheers,
Til

If you search, I've posted threads here about it as well. No changes so far.
