Bridge 2019: Crashing Frequently

Notice that when I drag images from one folder to another Bridge freezes. Am unable to select any files although the menu options are still available. Refresh doesn't solve the problem and the "Quit" option is greyed out. The only solution is to Force Quit in Finder and restart - which takes me to the default page size. Complete waste of time as happens frequently.

I have this same problem also. It happens to me when the dialog box showing the progress bar appears. After the box disappears, Bridge does not regain "focus." I have to Force Quit. This is a MAJOR problem that Adobe must fix.

Yes, I'm afraid I have been experiencing the same problem. Also on a Mac.

Adobe-PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM.  i didn't know exactly how many files are needed for the error to happen but roughly anything more than a dozen files and it just loses all functionality.

It's however many files trigger the dialog box. I think it's more of a time thing rather than a number thing. Yes. this problem has made me revert to the previous version of Bridge.

I've seen this and switching out to a different application and back usually fixes it, on both Mac and Windows. Its been reported as a bug.

I have the same issue. I called adobeCC support. They said they are having issue with thumbnails in CC2019 Bridge and downgraded me to Bridge 2018 and said I could try Bridge 2019 again after it updates. And it would probably update in Nov 2018.

Dear Users,

We are aware of Bridge CC 2019 freezing when files are dragged from one location to another in Bridge.

While we are investigating this issue, please use right click -> Move option to move files to avoid freeze issue.

Thanks Abishek. Thanks for that workaround it works for me. Pls share with your tech support teams. At least the support person I spoke with was unaware and the only solution they offered was a downgrade to CC Bridge 2018.

This does NOT happen in my testing and use with Favorites, only with the Folders pane. Create Favorites and see if that helps.

Hi All,

We have released a new update of Adobe Bridge (CC 2019) on 2nd November 2018. The new version build number is 9.0.1.216. This version is available to install via Adobe Creative Cloud application.

This Bridge update resolves the thumbnail rendering issue on iMac Pro devices, performance issue on moving files, and has few other bug fixes.

You may need to restart your machine to see the update in Creative Cloud Application.

Thanks,
Deepak Gupta

thanks for sorting this out.  can you also do something about the irritating box that appears when you copy and paste images in PS, once they are closed and saved etc, you click on Bridge and every time a warning message appears and says something about too much on the clipboard.  can't it be a 'dont show again' box...?

This happens when every I move a large image or video clips from either my camera, from windows file folders, or my desktop into bridge.  Its like it hits a limit and it dies.
