Adobe Bridge 10.10.163 version flickers or blinks when viewing thumbnails in full screen mode

After the auto update of Bridge to the current version, 10.10.163, a new glitch has appeared. When I try to view the thumbnails in full screen mode, there is a flicker or blinking on the screen. When I escape from full screen mode and then return to it, the flickering may stop for a few frames but always comes back. I contacted support and was told to clear the cache and restart the computer. That did not solve the problem. It still persists. I was then told to revert to the older version of Bridge. Very frustrating to get "improved" versions that actually are anything but improved as new issues develop. I am asking Adobe to please correct this problem. Thank you.

Hi there,

That does not sound good. Would you mind sharing some more details about the issue? Can you record a video and send it over? Or take a screenshot of the issue?
Which operating system are you working on?

Could you try resetting the preferences of Bridge and let me know if that helps? https://helpx.adobe.com/in/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.html#:~:text=Start%20Adobe%20Bridge%20and%20immediately,%2D%2Dand%20then%20click%20OK.

@sahil_chawla Hi Sahil, what is the latest on fixing this huge bug? It makes Bridge virtually unusable. I have a brand new iMac with the latest version of Bridge, but now I have to go back to my 10 year old Macbook Pro to be able to use Bridge. Surely your developers are working around the clock to fix this? Please can you update this group.

Thank you for your concern and your suggestions concerning this problem. I use Mac OS Mojave 10.14.5; I have a Mac Pro (Late 2013). I shoot in raw mode and process the files in Adobe Photoshop CC 2020. As I stated earlier, the blinking or flickering begins when I view the files in full screen preview mode in Adobe Bridge 10.10.163, the newest version. I did not have this problem with the previous version of Bridge. As long as I view the thumbnails without using Full Screen Preview, I don't experience the blinking or flickering in the image. I did attempt resetting preferences for Bridge and although the blinking stopped temporarily, it does come back intermittently. I hope I can find a resolution to this problem. I will try resetting Bridge preferences again and hope that this will solve the problem permanently. Thanks again for your help and kindness.

Same thing here as well.
As soon as I load Bridge, not every time but kinda randomly, everything starts flickering, including my other windows.

Hi,

I have updated Bridge and I am experiencing the same blinking/dimming screen that the other user is showing in his YouTube video.

It specifically happens when I'm in Fullscreen/Filmstrip display mode, and it seems to happen whenever I label a photo with a star ranking.

I'm using a brand new 16" MacBook Pro (2019) and Catalina 10.15.5

I'm having the same problem. Running the latest Bridge off a 2017 Macbook Pro and experiencing a flickering preview window. It seems to start after I apply a star rating to a picture. This also occurs occasionally and seemingly as random in photoshop recently as well, since I've upgraded to the latest version. These updates are terrible.

@sahil_chawla

Are Adobe trying to give us photo editors seizures?? My goodness this is terrible glitch and almost impossible to review imagery in fullscreen mode.  Which version of Bridge is recommended, older version were much more stable. WHY Adobe insist on always "improving" and changing look of what were good software version to begin with?? New layout and features not what works, stability, streamlined and simplicity always what worked best honestly.

I am also experiencing this problem - as soon as I star a photo it begins to flicker every half second. Not really what I pay a monthly subscription to Adobe for! Is there a fix coming for this?

Hi all. Same problem here. Last update 10.1.1.166 still flickering when I'm working on full screen display mode. Running on a MacPro with Mojave 10.14.6

It's terrible!  Did you revert to an older version and find it stable and stopped doing this? I may have to have my IT install the old 2018 version of Adobe Creative Suite.  I have found the Creative Cloud to be NOT friendly or stable nor improved honestly.  They keep over engineering these softwares into the ground...

Very frustrating! Once again I have to select 2800 captures in Bridge with the blinking. It happens whenever I label a photo with a star ranking in fullscreen display mode. There must be a fix after 3 months!!

This is such a bad bug that I can hardly believe Adobe don't have their developers working round the clock to fix it. It makes Bridge virtually unusable.

There is a flicker free work around, which is not ideal but won't give you a seizure. Set the layout to filmstrip and then drag the box to maximise the displayed image. It means you can still click through and rate images, without any flickering, but you can't zoom in or use any of the other features.

Come on Adobe - wake up!

This is still happening on Mac book pro 2019 latest version of everything all cache cleared it's obviously a bug that they don't want to or know how to fix. Is this what we pay through the nose for? if i was listening to spotify and every song jumped or skipped they would fix it. Adobe is all take and no give.
