Having trouble with photomerge in CS6 and was advise to post in a different forum so i do apologize about the double post from photoshop's general discussion forum
I am trying to create a simple three image panorama. I shot the sequences using a shift lens, this has always worked very easily in CS5.
in Bridge CS6 I go to the Photoshop photomerge feature, select the three files - it opens up one of the files (the last one) creates the photomerge layer but ignores the other two files. I have tried many different configurations, making sure all three files are highlighted in blue, auto, perspective, reposition always the same outcome one image plus an empty photomerge layer. I have also tested other image sequences and the same result. Now here's the additional problem after the photomerge fails, I can no longer open the second image in the sequence after trying all options, no error message just will not open, trying double click in bridge, command O, in Photoshop file menu → open... select that specific file
I need to thrash the photoshop preferences and then I can reopen the second image file.
Background on things we've looked at:
reading previous posts on the her problem:
I've repaired my permissions using disk utility
disk utility that log shows (for the boot drive) that I repaired the permission (I alway restart the machine after repairing the permissions)
ran a verify disk on the scratch disk and the message is "the disk appears fine"
ran a verify disk on the boot disk and the message is "the disk appears fine"
nothing in the log suggests a disk failure
raw files are from a 5D mark two it's been out for a couple of years and I've done probably hundreds of photomerges with this camera and CS5
using Camera Raw 7.1
photoshop CS 6 extended everything is up to date
I have not installed any plug-ins
macPro scratch disk set to an empty drive
