When you go into Album Setting, there are two options for Sharing. See the screen shot below. The default "Shared" setting (green icon) allows visitors to see that specific album when they receive a link to it (via email, blog post, etc). Additionally, if you select "Also share on Photoshop.com" then this album will be visible to anyone visiting your gallery of shared albums--this album will be available to anyone who can find your personal gallery page, perhaps from a separate link to another album.
Just be sure you choose the right settings, based on whether you want everyone to see your albums, or only those who obtain a link to specific, shared albums.

Hi there, if I share photos online can my mother-in-law (overseas) access them to edit them and print them out as she wishes?

i have a photoshop.com free website. although i have not selected the boxes for viewers to be able to download images, it can be done by dragging and dropping the image, when open from the gallery, onto a desktop. i will have to cancel the account if this is the case. i find it useful to transfer images from my licensed copies of LR and CS5, but if there's no protection for images, i'm done. advice?

Keep pictures from gallery from been download or copy.-
There is no possible way of preventing information that has appeared on your screen from being blocked. You can prevent someone from seeing a photo on their screen (mark the Album as Private), but once they can see it, there is nothing to stop them from simply taking a screen shot. However, you can also use the Album permissions to determine whether a full resolution copy of the image can be downloaded. The image on screen has been reduced in size so that the longer edge is 1024 pixels. Also, you can use security measures such as watermarks to protect your images.

I'm curious if I can upload photos for potential buys to view, but also not allow them to save or download without my consent.

Protected Photos.-
Hi Mark, your message was added to an existing thread that speaks to your question. In short, there are settings to block download of the original image. But nothing can stop guest viewers from downloading the large thumb they are actually viewing (which is 1024 pixels max on either side).

Despite selecting the strictest privacy setting on my Photoshop.com webpage, the photos can still be copied and/or printed. How can I create a 'view only' environment so others will not be able to plagiarize my work?

I have set an album to be shared and allow printing and downloading. I shared it with myself as a test to see what it looked like before I used it with others. I received the email from Photoshop and connected to the link and viewed the picture album. I can't figure out how to download the pictures. I can download the filmstrip thumbnails.
I want to be able to download the large original picture file I uploaded.
How do I do this? -

My album share screen does not look like the one you show and does not include an "Also share on Photoshop.com" option. Has this changed recently?
-
Hi,
There have been no recent change to the Album share screen. The screenshot above is of the Album settings screen.
What is it that you are trying to do. Let me know and ill help you out with it.

Specifically, these are the Album Share settings from Photoshop.com, if you are looking at the Album settings from within Photoshop Elements, you will see different options.
