Installing PSE10 and Premiere10 - Got an Error stating "Shared Technologies"
failed in some way on both installations. Note: my catalog is stored on an external drive. I had that drive disconnected during setup. Is that the proiblem?

Two and one half hours later I got it to go in, unsure of what I did differently but it works great. Thanks for your response. Karen -

1.Please disable all the Anti Virus & Fire Wall.
2.Then copy the Content of the disc/ downloaded file in the desktop in a folder including Organizer.
3.Update the Adobe Application Manager (http://www.adobe.com/support/download...)
4.Start the installation from the folder STI installer. Click on STI set up.
After the installation of the set up.
5. Install the program from the Set Up installer.
If the issue is not resolved then try the same creating a new user with Admin permission.
However the error might encounter but wait till the Shared error prompts, since often the program gets installed after the error also. So do not quite the installation. -
